December 5th

Yesterday's winner - jkleclerc! Congrats Julie. Enjoy the yarn, and the ensuing toasty toes!

Today's giveaway:

Some Handmaiden.

This is the yarn from the kit for the Angel Rumple Scarf. I've lost the pattern, unfortunately. But the ball on the left is silk boucle, and the one on the right is kid mohair. You knit the two of them together, and it creates this amazing texture...You can improvise any simple lace scarf pattern, and it'll be lovely, I promise.

In home knit news - I was playing with Mr. Munchkin in the snow yesterday, and somehow my ankle gave out on me...and I twisted it slightly. I'm fine (the ankle's all better after a good sleep), and the baby kicked me HARD after I picked myself off the ground - so he/she is also fine, if ticked off at my clumsiness. So, I sat on the couch last night, ate apple pie and knit. Finished off Belle. Final verdict? I love the pattern. Love the resulting hat. And I look dorky in all hats. *sigh* Oh well, at least my ears will be warm this winter!

Don't enter me in the draw, but I have that pattern for whoever wins it.

Well, if you post a picture we could judge your hat dorkiness for ourselves--I bet you look fine! Anyway, I'm glad you're not hurt, the babe had better get used to clumsiness!

I'm not entering in the draw either...but just wanted to say "BE CAREFUL". And I thought I was accident prone (you have more than your fair share it seems.)

I'm sorry to hear that you fell, glad the baby is okay. I'm sure the hat looks better on you that you think it does... we're always our own worst critic... says the person who never wear hats 'because they look dorky on me' :).

I think I look dorky in hats, too! My husband doesn't think so, maybe it's just us? Glad your ankle is feeling better!

Glad to hear that everyone's okay. What beautiful yarn!

You may have to start wrapping yourself in all that excess yarn to stay safe!

I'm a fan of texture... please put me in today's draw.

I hope you're doing okay tonight after the fall. At least it was for the cause of playing with your little guy.

Gorgeous yarn and beautiful scarves on the site link.

Easy does it, Momma Ninja! I bet you couldn't look dorky if you tried :o)

I'm glad the baby is okay. I hope your ankle is feeling better. I have trick ankles (years of soccer) that like to give out in the kitchen sometimes.

Ouch.

Congrats to Julie!
